Nah... not snobby, I just like all of the variety with SPS. I like some other stuff too. One of my favorite corals is my Prism Favia. I don't care for most LPS just because they're so aggressive. When I started reefing my favorite corals were Stylo's, so I jumped right into SPS. I also kept a macroalgae tank with Xenia for a while. I still keep some soft corals too. I posted some pics of my stuff in a thread I started a few days ago. I'm working on taking my sand bed out of my display right now, so I'll post pictures once things settle back down.
My name is Jeff...
*I don't think my setup is spectacular or anything, but I am able to keep SPS successfully using a basic approach.
I have a 75g SPS display and a 29g softy tank, both plumbed to a 38g sump/fuge. My lighting over my SPS is 2 x 175w Iwasaki 15k lamps(known as PAR busters) and VHO Super Actinics. My skimmer is an Aqua-C EV180 and I run Chemi-Pure Elite in a Phosban 550 reactor. My lighting over my 29g is laughably 3 screw in 23w 6500K CFL bulbs in some $5 clamp lamps...
