Detritus accumalation

Ive recently been working on a tank that seem to have fairly good flow/current. The funny thing is that the detritus seem to be sticking to the rocks. allmost like theirs some kind of mucus making it bind together . I think it can stand some more flow but ive seen lots of tanks with less flow that dont have this problem.

If i turn off the pumps and stir up the sand a little (by cleaning the front glass with a magnit) the detritus rises and kind of binds together. It very wierd looking, it kind of stays suspended in the water and binds into space lugys/snot clumps. Then if i turn on the pumps it tend to stick to the rocks.

220 Gallon reef Iwaki 55 for the sump, chiller,uv returnig to the tank is the all the flow it has. . It has cource sand lightly stocked few mushrooms and some polyps . I'm not sure if this has any thing to do with it but i did find out that they feeding those "gum drops" frozen food. Im thinking maybe it a type of clear cynobacter I dont no im just grasping at straws here.

anyway i just looking for any ideas as to what causes this and how to minimize it.

this is the only thing i havent conciderd. i think im going to have to bump the flow up also.

Its not like regular detritus, its like a weird snot thing im going to take some photos. with pumps off i stir up the bottom thr waste rises and then it starts to combine together /preciputate looking. it will just stay their in suspension almost dimond shape things the size of dimes all over th place. i got to get some photos
