detritus free sump??

I bought a HOT magnum just for this purpose and found it actually totally sucks as a sump vac, at least in my experience. Since it's not designed to sit on the floor I had to hang it on my sump while I vacuumed, and the way the hose connections come off the body, it made it a pain to work with. I'd actually suggest a regular magnum or some other canister filter that isn't a HOT design.

I never thought of the connection issues. My sump is braceless, so it hangs on neatly, maybe that's why it's such an ease to use. I'll see if I can post some pics later.
