Detritus with the package?

Hi guys

Did any of you experience a large amount - and ongoing - detritus with your package?

Don't get me wrong, I am absolutely in LOVE with my rock, sand & critters!!! But my tank almost seems like a snow globe at times. I've been doing tons of water changes and just can't seem to shake it.

I am just wondering if it's from sediment being on and in the rock since it's been aquacultured...

I wish I knew how to get rid of it for good... If any of you have tips or tricks, I'd love to hear them!!

How long have you had it set up? What/how many power heads? Too close to the sand?
My tank is clear.
For the first several days I would probably have very little to no additional flow inside the tank other than the main system pump while everything settles. Then slowly ramp things up.

Remember that if it's real detritus (waste, dead animals, etc), then it's food for corals, just like a real reef. The more the better.
