Did anyone notice on Tuesday there price for a frag was $99.00, yesterday and today they went to $149.00. unless of course i missed somthing. I've bought corals from them before and have been very pleased. I guess i am just shocked.

I saw them on there today for $149 for a tiny frag. Seems pretty steep for me, especially for an in-house grown frag.

$99 would be low, unless it's starting to come down in price. The piece that I have seems like a pretty slow grower.

wow good deal there! 99$ would have been a steal. i personally dont think its anything special as a coral. its just one of those "i have it and you dont " sps corals

Well said! But, if you have it and grow it out, it could make you some serious cash. I've seen many other corals I find more aesthetically appealing, for a lot less cash.

Then again, I could just be hatin'....

there were at least 6 maybe 9 maybe more frags at $99 that all sold immediately. I know because I had been checking and trying to get one. All would be gone in 1 minute.

Then they went up to 149 and now they make it several hours. Supply and demand...

It's the kinda hot coral right now. IMO there are a lot of better looking corals. by the time it grows out, maybe everyone will have one.

Looks like the price is going down. They were over 200.00 for a 1" frag a few months ago. There is also another sps coral(don't remember the species) that is being sold as the red dragon which could be driving the price down as well.

It's been coming down. I'm waiting. I don't have it and I wan't it.

It would be nice to see a large colony of it. I've only seen frags, but they were pretty nice looking.

I agree. Looking for colony pictures is what got me into this coral. I think that a lot of people expect it to have a really amazing color. It's a cool purple/maroon, but it's not some kind of standout SPS like a purple garf. It's growth pattern is what I really liked, and what sets it apart from the other SPS in my tank.

Yeah, wan't to split an order?
I was thinking the same thing when he posted that thread originally. If people are going to order, I would be interested and I needed a reason to visit some friends out your way anyways.

I just got a RD and several other corals from Copps, they are amazing. I too was thinking about the DFS version, glad I didn't.
