Diadema

Does anyone know of a Diadema species that will not outgrow a 40 gallon br tank? I had a Diadema that kept my macro algae under control, but it out grew my tank in 3 months. I forget the exact species, but it had a bright orange ring on it's butt.

Sounds like you had the black, long spined version that can grow to the size of a basket ball. Very interesting cirtter to watch.

Sorry, I don't know of a smaller urchin that is as good at keeping algae under control
