what is the diameter of these? is it a metric size? i ask because i just tried putting mine into the compression fitting that came with my geo ca reactor and it wont fit. my milwaukee probe fit just fine though. any ideas on where to find a compression fitting that will accommodate a metric size probe but standard size probe hole(not sure if that is the actual term)?

crap. the fitting i have for it is 1/2 inch, so what is everyone doing that is using these with u.s. sized ca reactors?

The 0.7MM will fit in... The rubber gasket/o-ring will compensate for that. A typical ½ cord strain reliever will work :c)

its wayyyy past time to move to metric. i use metric all day long at school and it really throws me off when i have to use standard for anything

It would make life a lot easier for a distributor, distributing a global product if USA did switch, it makes life quite hard having just one Country on Oz LB and cups :(

And thats coming from a guy (me) who is true blood born bred English, and still has the accent that in NA everyone thinks is Australian .:D

i agree. it would make things much simpler if measurements were universal.

chad, you were right, i checked again and all i had to do was spread the metal ring inside the fitting a little and it fit perfectly

Ha, Its never to late to move to something better, easier, quicker.

Confused on why you use it at school? Could it be they are starting to brain wash you all one by one lol

Luckly I am not old enough to have gone through the change over in the 60's. It must have been tricky to do the change over to something different but in the long run it was worth it.

After all the best cuntry in the world uses metric:D

Yes

Englsih metric :)

England went over to metric in 1971 ;) it has been illegal now for some years for retailers to advertise products in LB or Oz in the UK, many a court battle between metric martyrs and the government, all thrown out and the retailers fined

So without doubt like it or hate it even England that invented Oz and LB is now metric.

Saying that however there are many who hate change and it has become quite folk legendary in the UK the battle between Oz and Metric even this many years on

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metric_Martyrs

Growing up with metric only in the UK I have always wandered as to why the fight, metric being so damn easy to understand and work out in your head, no mathematics to work out fractions and also more accurate due to mm being a closer measurement. With this is mind i can understand why 99.99% of the earth now uses it, even Canada :)

You are right it is easy to understand, just add and subtract zeros. God forbid that folks should to think and have to work out fractions.

Now, I can understand why Canada would do away with Imperial gallons, but to go to liters and use kilometers!

Why you can't even get a good old "fifth" anymore its 750ml or 1.75ml its just not the same.
