Diamond Jack's 70g Cadlights Artisan II

Yes, keep us posted. I'm waiting on good reviews and looking into the bigger pump because of the size of tank I have. Six to nine months out all for me.

Things are looking nice so far. Keep up the pictures. :D

Marius - I am thinking about getting a 66G tank from SC Aquariums. The tank has very similar dimension as your 70G. I was wondering - how did you place your Maxspect Gyre? Can you post a video of what your water movement looks like?

Thanks
Minh

I will try and shoot a vid when I get a min. Might be a few days. I placed it vertically on the right center corner of my tank. It has a pretty good size footprint on my size tank, so keeping it on the black background is a must for me. I haven't played around with adjusting the angles of the paddlewheels yet. Haven't had time to play with it much at all.

Flow wise I think its superior in coverage and dispertion. 10/10

Controller wise I think its solid. 7/10

I want to to be quieter. We will see in time. It not as annoying as a vortech sound wise. The hum level is not as bad and since the speed isn't always changing its not as noticable, but its there. 5/10

Sweet! Patiently waiting on my gyre

Should be anytime now right? Its going to be fun to play around with. I'm interested to see what others think and how they set this thing up.

Great looking tank, I get my gyre tomorrow. How do you like it vertically? I might have to run my vertically as well.

Thanks! I like it vertically. I think it would take away from the rimless look putting it on the side horizontally and I don't want water splashing at the top of the tank. I can tell you it dosen't affect the flow performance. Its great. I can't wait to play around with some of the other modes on it.

is Maxspect made by Chinese Manufacturer?

I think I read in the official thread that it is made in China.

Awesome! Thats good to hear. Hopefully it will allow me to remove my mp60. I plan on running it vertically along the back wall.

Finally played around with my avast porthole for 5 mins. Its pretty cool. Not bad for stock lens and only cropping. ;)

Still prefer the vertical orientation? I think a lot of MPs will be getting swapped as soon as apex integrates support. Count me in! Wondering how vertical orientation will be with non BB setups. Guessing a horizontal setup may be needed.

Love that aurora!

I settled in on horizontal orientation on the right side of tank for the gyre. I run it at 20% most of day. I have an mp10 down low on the left back of tank. I turn it on for about an hour at half power to just still some stuff up daily. With running the bb what I like is my tank basically only has 2
spots where detritus gathers. It makes it very easy to siphon out during a wc. I had more deadspots running the mp10 and mp40.

For me the gyre is a win. It puts out great flow with very little noise at the power level I run it at. I think my tank setup is probably quieter than most.

I've been feeding rods food twice a week. Reef nutrition roa and brine shrimp or pe mysis the other days. I've never had happier acans. My aurora eye acan has gone from 3 heads to about 8 and all my other acans are growing well.

The kessil in my sump seems to be growing things great as well.
