Diaphragmatic or peristaltic pump from basement

I want to have my ato reservoir with kalk in the basement. My float switches and electronics are in the sump space under my tank on the first floor. I will install the pump in the cabinet under the display tank in the living room.

I need a pump that can draw against 10 feet of head vertical and 15 feet horizonal.

I am tired of walking water upstairs and mixing kalk next to my tank in the living room!

Either of our pumps will work fine for this application. The peristaltic pump is silent but slower than the diaphragm pump. This is probably a good thing though since you are using kalk. The diaphragm pump will also work fine, and can be rate limited by using the included valve.

The only thing I can add that hasn't already been said is the peristaltic pump is easier to plumb because it doesn't require a siphon break. The peristaltic pumps just cost us more to make and some people prefer that option due to some of the listed reasons, both are solid pumps though.
