Diatom Help!!!

Everyone keeps telling me oh they will go away over time just let them be. But my tank is bad. I am on my 5th saltwater setup and have never had diatoms after an initial cycle like this. They are getting horrible

will GFO or carbon help reduce the amount of diatoms I am getting?

i'd give it time. just keep doing water changes maybe once a week and it will go away. my diatoms lasted for a good 4 months.

i guess i should have used all live rock and sand. This is the first tank i used to to start with and the first time i have experienced this on such a large scale

Hi there I agree with the above just give it time it will go,it's very common and is just part of your cycle It can come and go a number of times In the early days just be patient
