did my anenome just die in 30 minutes ????

i've had a very large bta i guess it is with tenticles out its about 16inches across its base is about 5 or 6 inches its been fine and just now it started to shrivle up and now its the size of a golf ball with all this brown goo coming off it and i can see what looks like little white xenia inside must be the nerves i guess it has gotten smaller before at night sometimes but never has it done anything like this with all this stuff coming off it and it just looks dead all in about 45 minutes it went from huge and normal to this ??????anyone know whats happening and should i get it out of the tank so it don't trash the water ???thanks for any advice

They flush the water out of their system occasionally. The brown goo is poo. Not to worry, it'll be back to normal soon.

How long have you had it? Mine does that about 1x/week.

If you can, use a turkey baster to suck up some of the brown detrius before it settles on something else in your tank, don't suck in any tentacles.
