You can give the skimmer some time to break-in. (patience grasshopper). My Octopus skimmer discharged a ton of very fine micro bubbles when it was new, once it broke in the skimmer settled in nicely and have not had any micro bubbles since.
How does it break in if I have to turn it off and restart it each day to clean the cup? Or does that not matter? It's so bad - I've never seen anything like this.
Are you supposed to put the black carbon circle cut outs they put in the box over the plastic piece that pushes the water back into the tank that is sending the microbubbles in? I am getting mixed reports both on youtube and in articles/forums that say you should put those over it. But I don't want a flood when I sleep the guys above mentioned could happen?
