the branches havent touched yet they seem to be staying away from each other

at the base they encrusted into each other then they would fight both died back a few times then regrew then died back forming like a little calcium wall between the two corals now and they stopped encrusting and fighting.... the pink one is also doing the same with a purple desalwii down below on the same rock so far so good one all corals my slimer is touching my large sarmentosa colony and so far so good too

thanks for the comment :)

lol i might be out in vegas in the next few months ill bring a frag pack for yah ;)

as far as the cheap camera goes its a 2.5 year old olympus D-545 zoom camera.... one of those best buy cameras with the auto zoom a few functions and its 4 megapixels cost me about $200 when i bought it back then.... it often surprizes me some of the clear shots i can get with it especially the milli this go around

Where do you have you orange polyp green skin digi at?

Yours and kips tank are becoming my favorites with out a doubt.

I live about 2.5 hours south but if you ever need to prune anything let me know and I would gladly drive up. I would say I can bring a case of beer to but it might be warm by then.

thanks the anti honda!

i keep that coral pretty high up in direcet light and pretty hight flow its seemed to really like it there.... as far as high up goes its about 1/2 way to 2/3rds way up in the tank

where do u live? corals are still fillin in some but i imagine someday that case of beer will come in handy ;)

You have a pink tail trigger dont you murphreef? I made an impulse buy last weekend and picked one up at the LFS store 50% off sale and he is in my quarantine. How is he doing with all the tank inhabitants? I have an anthias and I want to add more but worried about putting anything in after him. But, I am mostly worried about all the new frags I recently put in, especially that new oregon tort!

Awesome pics! The valida looks like what RM sells as cerealis. Any thoughts? I'm still in love with that clam though...too bad you can't frag it :D

yeah i have had the pink tail now for a while and he hasnt harmed one thing.... he is a huge pig however and needs a lil extra food on the side.... so i give him a cocktail shrimp every 3-4 days....

mines pretty big and they do dart into the rocks when scared if u sneak up to fast so mines bumped onto some of the tips of my larger corals and kinda smashed them but nothing too bad...

i have some small anthias as well some lyertails and ones the size of a small feeder goldfish and he doesnt bother a thing they swim right by each other its a fun fish to have good luck with it!

man if i could frag this clam i think i would be rich hahaha i wonder hmmmm

anyways i do see what ur sayin that it looks like a cerealis like RM sells frags of.... i guess they are all kind of the same family of corals

i actually just did a search and IMO it looks most similar to A. Variabilis sp..... if u looks its got the same irregualr bush growth pattern and coralites look very simliar.... it looks the most similar when comparing it to A. Valida, A. Cerealis, and A. Variablis

heres a link if u wanna check it out and tell me what u think
