yeah he was going on about that over at RDO as well. Better blame the europeans too and sue them for back damages of bringing the ordinary garden snail over here, that ruins crops! .... btw *** is our rice crop about? Seriously is it that large of the whole US agri-economy to make a care about?
There was also a lot of talk about the banning of all caulerpa and the worry that it'd apply to live rock as well, so far haven't seen anything happen about live rock, I really don't see turbo snails being affected anytime soon though.

I need to refill my snail too, so actually it will a good timing of group buy for me, before it's too late.
CA is a huge rice producer, but believe it or not Arkansas is the biggest rice producer in US. Also US is no. 4 of rice exporter in the world behind Thai, Vietnam & India, that is why I guess USDA is worry.

Yeah, CA produce most of Asian kind of rice (short & medium grain) and Arkansas, Lousiana, Missouri, TX, MS produce Uncle Bend type of rice (long grain and some medium grain)

Yeah, there has been a bit of controversy over the rice fields right off of the Sacremento river and runoff it causes in the river, effecting fish migration and spawning.
