OK, you guys want to beat up on me then.
While a lot of people are hard set on QT, and I have nothing against it, it's not the end of the world if you don't do it.
I've been keeping SW fish since the late 70's. back then, we were still learning and had no idea of what QT was.
I still do not QT. But I also take time to watch the fish I'm thinking of purshasing as well as using good reputable LFS. My current tank as been set up oh for about 5 yeasr now. No issues with any of the fish I have kept. I've actually put a clown in the tank who had Ich. No other fish got Ich and the clown was cleared up within a week.
It's more of how you keep your system and what you do to maintain it. My belief is that if you keep it too sterile, then you wind up with a sterile tank and fish and any little thing that goes wrong has a greater impact on your fishes health. But if you let nature take it's coures on some things, then your fish will be healther. They will grow an immune system, same as we do. Again just my beliefs and observations of over 30 years of doing this. Your's may be different.
