different species of anthias together

I have 7 lyretail anthias in my 233 that seem to be getting along for the most part.
Not really seeing a lot of aggression by any single fish. Just a pecking order and territory thing.

I would like to add 4+ more of Dispar's or Square Backs.
Anyone see a problem with either picks?

It's as much a function of the size of the box as anything else. 11 large anthias may be pushing things even in a tank as big as yours. Squares, in particularly, need space. Stunning fish though.

I had two squimpinnis and added two dispars. There was a small agression between them (between alfa females from both sides) .

In my tank (see sig) I have 1 male Huchtii. 1 female each Resplendant and Lyretail. So far model citizens. Gorgeous too.

Dispars will mix in just fine. Squarebacks may be a little too aggressive as a group, but one male or a pr may work.

Going to revive this thread.

I have 5 surviving Lyretails.
1 nice male with 4 females, that seem to co-exist.
The male does reign supreme over the females.
The 2 remaining Ignitus seem to just blend in.

I'm thinking about finally adding 2 maybe 3 female squarebacks.

You think 2 would work better than 3?

I think odd numbers are better when the group is small.

I just looked again and the statistics listed on liveaquaria's website for squarebacks.
These guy's are a pretty large fish. Says 7-3/4" tops.
I may reconsider.
I like multiples of the same fish.

I did find a site that has some Carberryi's.
