i have sony P10 digital cam( i know it not a good one but 5 meg for $100 not a bad deal rgiht) How to set it to take a tank picture? If any one know please tell me. I have try so many thing with this cam but still the picture come out so bright or so dark nothing in the middle.

I don't know this camera in particular. In general, it's a good idea to do the following:

- turn off your flash
- manually set the white balance (most cameras enable you to point to something in your subject area that should be white or gray, and then press a button to set the white balance: this will keep everything from looking blue, assuming you are not using all daylight bulbs)
- Use macro mode if you are taking close-up shots
- Use a tripod if things are coming out blurry.
