That is strange. When you updated firmware did you update the files also? Do you have a spare usb memory stick. If so you may want to download the appropriate files and load them to the spare stick. Power down the system and install the memory stick woth the uodated files. I would use clean files. Don't try and port the programming. This is. A spare stick. Reprogram some outputs and then try an alarm to see what happens.
 
I didnt update any firmware. I didnt update anything for that matter. As a last ditch effort to get them to connect I did the interrupted update with the SID on all the hardware. This got them talking at least.

I just dont understand what would have happened. Nothing changed. Like literally nothing. One day it works and I get emails that my ATO tank is low and the next it crashes my Archon. I didnt change a thing. If I have to start over fresh, what prevents it from just doing this again?

Are you suggesting that "Update Software" and Update Hardware" from the Archon system screen is not sufficient for updates? It sounds like you are making what should be a relatively easy task, in to a complicated matter.
 
So I see now my archon on the systems page says update available. Is that easy to do? Just push a button to update? Maybe this will fix my issues?
 
For the most part, gablet, YES. simple as that. Update your software and then if needed Update the hardware if it pops up. BUT, lately there are some File updates that you need to have added into your USB drive to co-inside with these updates.

I knwo it sounds complicated and that may be the case. However according to the files located here:

The file set from May 27th is the last set for you guys. this was the retail versions. I do also see some newer revisions showing up for you guys. Let me Verify with DA on which is the latest version of the Flash drive files for you guys. I know they did some revisions to the main.js and some others.
 
On the 31 software. I updated on Saturday. It has be running without issue since then. Over 62 hours so far.

Danny - do you know if they were trying to fix the loss of communication with this update? Sounds like it, but I have not pushed the "update" button yet.
 
I had that issue too. So far I have not had that issue since the update. That said I am mot sure which files are needed with the update. It think Lindsey is checking that. You would update first then replace the files. Make sure you have the files before you update.
 
So dont push the update button? Wow this is way more complicated than it should be. Where is the warning not to push the update button until you have files that for some reason arent included with this update? I wonder how many people will update without know they need other files. Where was the release notes or release notice of any kind as to instructions or what this update even does? Its adding up guys......
 
I did not say you needed files. I don't know. I did change some files before this update on a previous update but not on this one. I was updating from 30 to 31. They are getting the updates to replace more of the files each time. Lindsey is going to check to make sure. Better safe than sorry right.

Ok. Im on .29 so maybe I do need to do something else other than just push update. I guess Ill wait and hear for sure before I push the button.
 
This is what I got from Eric. FYI I am on 1.09.29 software and 1.08.8 hardware

thank you, that is what i needed to see. There are actually 2 updates available, and one addressed the alarm features, you will want to runt the first update, this will do the software update, then it will show hardware update available, do this update, and then restart your system. This should take care of it. If not, let us know please.

On the Hardware update. Make sure you wait long enough before restarting the system. I think I waited over 5 minutes the last time. Reset too early and it will mess up the update.
 
From what I can tell your files should be good. we are still testing a few new features. Glad the update worked for you. I updated to the version 31 last night.
