Digital Aquatics Archon Owners Thread

For some reason the system came on. I have full access. Don't know why this happened but I realize I need to have a better understanding of how this device does hardware and software updates. Sorry of the confusion I might have caused.

Archon will still get power off the bus. Pull those plugs first then archon power. Count to 10 and plug power in then buss cables.

Thanks Pickupman. I didn't update the web pages because it said it needed to completely power off.

It must have a slow processor. I always expect it to complete tasks faster than it actually does.

I'll give it a shot. Do you use an IOE Module? I was thinking this might resolve my issues with the SOLS and the ALC Module.

No. It's an add on to Firefox. Firebug. Download it and then click on net and activate that tab. I watch this whenever I do an update.

I updated today and now I can't access my Archon wirelessly. Pulled power from power source and to modules. Did a reset to do an "initial sign in" and can no longer get the Archon to show up on my list of wireless connections. I hooked into it via LAN cable through a laptop. Did a system restore and still no luck wirelessly.
Software version is: 1.09.66
Hardware is: 1.08.10

Any help would be appreciated.

On a side note I posted this on the DA forum this morning and shortly after the DA forum went down and has not been up all day. I was hoping to get some answers there.

Thanks in advance.
Rob

Rob,. The updates to 66. We're pretty substantial. It should broadcast an SSID of archon all the time. Did you hold the reset button down for 10 seconds or until it reboots itself?

Thanks so much for the quick response. I've done it more times than I can count today. When you say it should broadcast a SSID of the Archon all the time, what exactly would I be looking for? How would/should I be able to access it wirelessly?
Thanks again!
Rob

Rob, if you have reset with the button, you should see the archon broadcasting its own wifi. Can u see that? If not, power cycle it by first pulling the bus's cables that go to any power bars. Then pull archon power plug. Do opposite order to power it up. You should then see the archon thru computer or phone wifi.

If I put in the ip address 192.168.10.1 into my browser address bar should I be able to access the Archon wirelessly from a computer on my network? Should there always be an Archon SSID present in my wireless network connections? Just thinking out loud right now.
Thanks.

If still not seeing that, maybe u need to power off again and pull drive and check it for errors with PC. Then boot up again and do reset button one last time. Then see.

Yes. Always see archon among your networks.
