Digital Aquatics Archon Owners Thread

I'm also finding that some of the output channels don't show me all of the options that the manual shows. For example, if I program my skimmer output as a "Skimmer" the delay out of standby option doesn't show up in Archon. The Archon also doesn't save the programming in this example like it did for other channels. Is it just the processor being slow or do I need to reset channels? This happens with the APC I have as well. I can't program the second wavemaker pump. And the programming options for my Ai Sols isn't available in the ALC module.
 
It may have changed since manual Was made. Skimmer will always delay from standby. On APC, I have one. Program pump 1 then do pump 2 etc... Use APC wavemaker. Also did you do an interrupted update on all modules before adding to archon

I didn't do the interrupted update. Should I remove the Archon and reconnect my old head unit? How do I do it?

I do not use the ALC anymore. I use the Archon ports and a AVC module for my lighting. If you use the Archon ports you can use the ramp function for lighting. On the ALC the function to use for the 0-10v ports is the AdvLight function if I remember correctly.
 
On each module you will need to use the Sid to do interrupted update. Basically plug it into your PC and do update. Halfway thru, unplug module so it fails. Then replug it and re flash the firmware. Do for all. Also reset archon on system page back to factory and start over .

Also I don't know anything on the AI programming.

For example non of the programming for the Ai Sols I have shows up as before like intensity settings, ramp rate and trigger timer. I have them plugged into the SDO and they worked fine under the RKE head unit.

On the APC I can't program the second pump. I have Pump 1 programmed to sequential but non of this programming shows up when I open the gear under Pump 2. I have Pump 1 set as AdvWavemaker.
 
What programming options are we talking about? Make sure you press the show button after selecting the function you want to use. Otherwise it won't setup for that function and any changes won't stick.

Thats because the programming is in the RKE head unit not in the module. You will have to reprogram everything on the Archon.

Well I have a real problem now. I did uninterrupted updates on my modules and now non of the inputs or outputs show up in the Archon. In fact I did an uninterrupted update on my APC and when I click on the ???? the menu to select the module doesn't show up. I am literally dead in the water. What can I do? I suppose I could reconnect it to the old RKE head unit.
 
I noticed that the blue LED's from my AI Sols can't be programmed through the ALC unit like they could when it was programmed through the RKE. Does anyone have this fixture and if so would you tell me how you connected them to either the Archon or the ALC module? I can't use just white light.

I'd use the ALC since it's compatible.
 
Actually the Archon 0-10v outputs can use the ramp function. The ALC cannot use that function. I prefer that function over the one for the ALC. The AVC module has 4 outputs that can be configured as 0-10v, PWM 5v or PWM 10v independently of each other. Any output can be used to control a pump or light. So it can work as a APC and/or ALC with exception of the linar ports and SDO output on the ALC.

So what you're saying is he's not configured it correctly? The ALC on the RKE ramps rather nicely for my kessil.
 
And the ALC worked with my Sols with the RKE. The ramp function is there with the Archon but only one channel is available. The white is all that I can power now.
