i have also heard roamers about a koi breeder using a long waterfall to brake the hormones up so the fish can get bigger

My LFS has a 18-20" Vlamingi Tang in their 700. It says, " Pet, Don't ask" on the price label. LOL

I'm in Hawaii right now and just saw a dinner plate size sailfin tang. I know that wasn't really the question, I'm just excited to see reef fish in the wild for the first time!!!![]()
Even in the ocean few tangs I have seen are "dinner plate size".
No surprise that in our tanks they are the rare exception.
The unicorns I have seen in Hawaii are monsters. They wouldn't fit on a dinner plate.
