Disappointing online experience

I just made my first purchase with liveaquaria and overall the experience was a good one but was slightly disappointed when they wouldn't replace an anthias that was DOA. I was only offered a refund or credit but since these were the last fish I plan on adding and my tank is full of coral a credit would do me no good. I was so stoke for a trio of anthias but I guess I'm going to have to settle with a duet for now.

I think Steve at Reef Plus has one or two. I believe they are lyre tail anthias, but didn't inspect them closely, so they may be another species. Give Steve a call, and I'm sure he'll tell you right away.

Also exotic Aquatics had some nice Anthias earlier this week as well. Hope You can find a female for your trio.

Hurry finding one, I think they don't do well in pairs, they will fight. they do better in 3+ numbers. Start calling LFS's. Good luck in your search.

Thanks for the suggestions I will give steve a call tomorrow. Will they really fight? I have a male and a female left. I just wanted a second female for the harem effect

Your trio would have eventually become a pair anyway IMO. If you really want a harem you need around 6 females and let them turn on their own.

I am just now having luck with a harem of 5 females and 1 male square spot anthias. Any smaller groups I tried did not work out.

I've ordered from Live Aquaria/Divers Den for years. Not every shipment is perfect, (no matter where you go) but LA/DD has always taken care of me.

I tried bluezoo once. Once. Never again.

actually liveaquaria has a good return policy, they usually ship you another fish if you want but credit is good too, some lfs have no guarantees at all.

I tried having 3 of them in my tank as well and they died within 3 months. I have a 120 too. You have to feed them 2-3 times a day apparently, which I wasn't aware of.
