what disease is it when the dorsal fin which is usually a uniform clear color gets opaque whit patches on it that cannot be seen through? It is not small salt like crystals like Ich. It is large patches that almost look like a fin does after it had been injured, but I do not think this is from an injury. Here is a video of the fish in question....look at the dorsal fin, you can clearly see the blotch in many parts of the video especially around the 28 second mark...click vid please. Thanks.

Have you added any fish to the tank recently? Do you quarantine?
It could be lymphocystis if the lesion extends outward from the fin. Does it have a cauliflower-like appearance? Good chance that what you see is hyper mucus production in response to some sort of parasite, especially if you don't quarantine. Wounds from parasites often have a secondary bacterial infection. Can't give you a definative answer from viewing the film. Is the fish always that hyper and dashing around the aquarium?

No, he has been moved quite a bit lately......a new fish was bought with the same thing appearing....no cauliflower though.....just the bltchiness......turned into Ich....killed the Ich quickly......this fish was in this 120 divided....but I just tokk out the divider because the Queen Trigger that was in there with this fish was killed by the emperor filter I am pretty sure....It spiked, and just kept dumping nitrates right onto her even after I did a huge water change.

Secondary bacterial infections often get started in the wounds caused by the ich parasite. Probably a good idea to treat with hypo and a good antibiotic. Often once the parasite is under control the bacterial infection clears without an antibiotic.

Whatever it was is it running it's course. I think th Trigger had been bitten by an Eel. The white has all but disappeared. Thanks.

He's pi$$ed cuz he was moved from a 180 back into his 120. He is a good fish, but is also the meanest saltwater fish I have owned except for my Tesselata Eel. he will beat upi a Blueline Trigger his own size, and Queen close to his size, and an Undulate. He tries to throw shells out of the tank.
