Disgustingly funny

The other night, I watched the Naso Tang chasing a Solone Wrasse. Not in an aggressive way. It was like a tailgater that forces you to speed up. They went for at least 4 times around my 8' tank. There was a piece of poop sticking out of the wrasse's butt, and the Naso wanted it. My better half didn't believe me when I told her that the Naso is not being aggressive, he just wanted the poop. She was so disgusted when she saw the Naso eating the poop.....lol

Mine all eat alot of nori, some of which I assume doesn't get digested. They all fight for poops

If you don't like fish that eat poop get jawfish. Not only will they bring their own poo pellets out of their burrow, but also blow poo away that is drifting by. If you have a group it can look as if they play ball with the pellet.

There are many copraphagus fish species and it's quite a widespread thing in the animal Kingdom. Tangs like rabbits (the furry kind with big ears) even eat their own on occasion (sometime it takes a couple of passessment to really get all the nutrients out of an algae/plant based food). You also see fish naturally attracted to carnivores because of the richness of their poo.

I've witnessed this so many times its true, my Tomini tang always poops in only one corner of the tank. The same location/spot every time. Crazy! Lol
