i have 2 dispars right now and they are doing great. these how ever are the first anthias i have ever attempted to keep and so far so good. so i dont really know much besides what i read. however i have had mystery, 6line and 4line wrasse's in the past before and know they can be agressive towards some fish.

will the 2 dispars in a 72g tank be ok with a mystery wrasse? or even a 6line?im kind of worried that the mystery wrasse may scare them back into hiding... it took me awhile to get them out of hiding and i would hate for them to vanish into the rocks again.

again like mentioned earlier i am new to keeping anthias. i had always been nervous in the past to attempt it and i didnt have the extra time.

I don't have any experience with this specific combination, but I did have a dispar with a pyle's wrasse, which has a similar reputation for being obnoxious. The wrasse chased the dispar into the rocks whenever the dispar came into its line of site. No direct physical contact that I could see, but I think this is why the dispar eventually stopped eating and I lost it.

I have kept mystery wrasses before, and they do get more aggressive as they get older. Bottom line, I'd probably skip anything from that family for the benefit of your dispars.

i kinda had a feeling that a wrasse may not be a good idea. maybe i will look into getting a flasher or fairy instead.

just really wanted to get another mystery wrasse since thats one of my favorite fish. if others have had this combo please post up and let me know how it worked out for you.

Interesting i have a mystery wrasse and he all bark no bite. None of my fish are really scared of him anymore.

i have had this fish in the past and it was a great addition. but i have never kept anthias before, so i dont now what to expect. with the anthias being so shy and so close in simularity body wise, i was worried something may go down.

Flashers should be ok.

But be aware that some fairy wrasses (like my pylei) can be just as bad as mysteries. To be clear, there was no biting or physical violence, just intimidation. So sometimes "bark" is enough to doom a passive fish like your dispars.

I have both in the tank without any issues
But I think your tank is too small for the mystery as they get mean if it feel cramped.

Flasher wrasse are very amazing fish the only downfall they are jumpers
