Hello EcoTech,
I recently purchased an XR30W Pro and RMS mount and set them up a few weeks ago on my brand new setup. I also recently purchased the wide-angle lens upgrade, and yesterday worked on installing it.
After I finished the installation, I placed the Radion and the rail it is mounted on back into the RMS arm and proceeded to hand-tighten the set screw. I then took my hands away and heard a *snap* and watched in slow motion as my Radion began falling towards the open water of my aquarium.
Apparently I possess super-human abilities as I was able to somehow catch it before it ever hit the water. Phew.
After some investigation, it looks like the set screw and the locking nut it fits into is only held together by three poorly done tack welds (or at least mine is). You can see the photo attached where it completely separated under the weight of the Radion. If it weren't for my quick reactions, this could have been much, much worse.
I would call in order to make my claim, but I work during your office hours. If this can be remedied through RC or via email, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
