wow i didnt know we had nems up here.... i always wanted to try diving around here but me and cold water = me not happy. me and my gf are actually thinking of taking a trip some where tropical so i can dive. if anyone has any ideas on some nice reefs that would be great

Hey Joe, yeah we have some pretty neat stuff up here including nems.... no clowns though lol. If you want to go somewhere great for diving i would check out either Grand Cayman or Bonaire. I was in GC tis summer and it was amazing.

I have not been to bonaire but it is supposed to be the best diving in the caribbean, however i have been told by countless people that it is so diver oriented that a nondiver or a person wishing to get the same onland caribbean experiences would be very bored here.

Dogfish dont lay eggs, they give birth to live young.

Of the two most commonly encountered inshore species, yes. However, the Chain Dogfish does lay egg cases that can wash up into the shore and shallower waters.

Great pics! It's always neat to see the temperate/cold water species.

I'll have to get up that way and dive sometime. I'm from Ohio so the colder water doesn't scare me too badly. You have to get quite accustomed to it diving around here, haha. And yes...wetsuit all the way! If it's too cold for my semi-dry, I'm not interested in diving it.

Great pictures!!! I dove up there earlier this year. Buddy and I took the hour and half ride twice now! I will go again next season. Diving is great! We dove cathedral rock. Shore dive, great viz and plenty of great things to see. I wish I had a mass lobster license.
