Divers Den - Pair, Bonded Pair, Trio?

What do the various terms mean on Divers Den? Is there any advantage to purchasing a pair or bonded pair of Banggai Cardinal from DD vs just purchasing two from my LFS?

If Tank Bred vs Wild caught is an issue with you, then you can be assured with DD that the fish you are getting are TB if listed as such. Most of the Banggai I see in the LFS around here are wildcaught adults.

I would prefer tank bred since they appear to have a better survival rate. That said I can buy singles from Liveaquaria or wait for a bonded pair, pair, or trio from DD...what is the difference?

From what I have seen, the bonded pairs are a little bit bigger than the singles. You could prObally get a pair by buying 3 of the singles and letting them pair off

If the cardinals are the same sex then they will fight to death. The only way you can really keep bangaii cardinals together in my experience is if they are a pair.

I believe "bonded pair" means they are a male and female and live together with no issues, but have not been witnessed spawning.

Mated pair has spawned.

Trio is typically a male and 2 females that live together.

As I'm typing this, I feel like I need to say the definitions might vary depending on which state you live in...
