Divided wrasse...time to call it? Missing for a week and a half.

You guys think it's time to call it? I bought a pair of divided wrasse last Sunday. Had them in a peacemaker box for a day. Released them...female went straight into the sand, male followed soon after. Haven't seen them since.

Yea, I've had other sand dwelling wrasse before and have had them Mia for a couple days, but don't recall having them missing for so long. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Be patient...2 weeks and more is not unheard of

Fully agree, I even had a black leopard go unobserved for almost a month. I say unobserved because often the have their clocks backwards and may be coming out at night.

Both are still MIA. I know it's still not impossible for them to show up. But I'm starting to lose hope. No carcasses or remains to speak of though. If a wrasse were to die, would it die in the sand or would it come out?

I have certainly had some go into the sand and never come out ..... no evidence of dead fish either.

Hoping for the best, but I'm not holding my breath unfortunately. I've checked at night numerous times as well and no luck.

A client had one missing for over a month and during a tank maintenance I found it was alive & well in the uncovered tank corner overflow. Took for ever getting it out of there. Worth a peak in yours with a flashlight. Hoping for the best.

I introduced my Marine Beta to the DT and didn't see it again till 2 months later dotting between 2 caves in the back of the tank
