Yes, always re-use the white mesh every time you clean it as its seeded with Algae. Both my Nitrate and Phosphate have dropped since i started using it,and I'm getting much less Algae growing in the DT.

you said cfl growth was not as good..............
was that because they were not the red cfl bulbs???????
instead you were using the daylight bulbs

The clf bulbs i was using were not the daylight kind,the ones i were using were the 2700K type.

I'll have to see what this is about when I get home. I'm using 2700K CFL and thought they worked well. If there is something better...I must know!

Its a Bicycle Inner Tube cut down its length

Heh. I know what the ATS is for, I meant the inner tube.

Hi there,
I received my lights yesterday. I have some questions regarding wiring. I've picked up two extension cords (one for each light). Could you (or anyone) help me with what goes to what? The black cord is the LED light, and the grey cord is the extension/"replacement" cord I purchased.

Now, I think the green/yellow cord on the light goes to the green on the extension cord, but I'm 50/50 on the other two (help?!)

Sorry cant help with this one as the wiring over here in the U.K is different colors from yours over there in the USA
