DIY denitrator, Split cheap GOOD sulfur with me?

planning on building a DIY sufur denitrifier based on djfrankies writeup(thanks dude!)


i actually can build you one almost complete, just need a maxijet to finish it, (most of its built already, but id like to build another one with acrylic.




anyone want to split the actual sulfur media with me? i found a place that sells the good course media,

youd get 5.5 lbs for about 55$

these things are awesome at bringing your nitrates down to 0 in no time. im actually going to add a 25micron inline filter to my setup now, but be skimpy on changing the cartridge knowing this thing will kill any nitrates.

So you are selling the DIY sulfer reactor? If so I would be interested. I saw DJFrankies write up but it would cost me almost $100+ just for misc. parts to build it not including the time.

it did cost me more in the actual tools to make it but the actual project is cheap. (drill bit, glue, etc.) once you get those. co

i can make you one and sell you it for just the cost of the actual material, around 20-25$ i think.

total would be around 80-90$, but youll have enough media to put together a smaller one for another tank if you like too.

this will include 2.5kg sulfur, and 2kg calcium(good coarse stuff)


3kg of sulfers fills the XL h&s nitrate reactors thats rated for 500g btw.


im all physched about this thing tho, plan to add a nice cannister filter to really polish the water crystal clear, and not care too much cleaning it that often, kinda overstock the tank as well as feed them till they dont want to eat anymore. all while this thing does the prescious work.

What will you charge me fore you to pick up the stuff and make me one of those DIY denitrator by DJFrankie. I'm sure I could do it but I don't want to go out and buy all the tools unless I have to.
