DIY kalk stirrer

I have a few questions on the operation of the kalk stirrer.
Currently i gravity feed my sump with topoff working with a float valve.

I am curious if this setup will work effectively...
I want to Gravity feed the kalk stirrer into the bottom with rodi, up through the slurry and use a dosing pump to draw from the top of the cylinder to the sump.
I have to figure out how much i evaporate to get it right. I am getting a Reefkeeper dosing pump tomorrow. It is rated for as low as 15 ml a sec.

Will this be effective?? Is there a better way?
My diy reactor is a 2.5 qt "clickClack" pantry cylinder from the container store.
I will be ordering a small motor for the top to stir the slurry. I've seen a few on ebay rated at 60 rpm's...110v. Maybe someone out there has a suggestion on a motor?

Thank you for the link. I was looking at those. The other day I went to Microcenter Computer/electronics store and they had DC stepper motors in stock. They were the exact size and all , bought one, and realized i'd need a driver board for it. I am at a standstill right now. I think AC is the way to go but I'd like to hear it from the experts. I'm trying to keep this low budget.
