DIY Led dimming Profilux

Hi there,

I'm currently in a process building my own LED fixture, and right now I own profilux plus IIex. In order to have dimming function controlled by profilux do i need to purchase anything, I saw on other people threas they were adding Ballast Control Board (EVG-AP-2F) wiring into their led driver/meanwell. do i need to get one of those?

How many ballast can EVG-AP-2F can control? as i'm planning to use Mean Well HLG-185-42B Constant Current Driver as my led driver. can EVG-AP-2F handle two of these ballast, as they are made for running large parallel strings of LED.

http://www.meanwell.com/search/hlg-185/HLG-185-spec.pdf

Specs;
2.2 ~ 4.4A current range
Dimming circuit is compatible with 1-10V, PWM, or resistors
21-42V DC Voltage (runs ~7-12 LEDs)
Most likely uses would be powering 60 LEDs @ up to 880mA (5 strings of 12) or powering 72 LEDs @ up to 733mA (6 strings of 12)

One last question though, right now my L1/L2, L3/L4 port already been occupied with 4pcs of profilux simu stick, so if I want to connect those DIY led do i need to upgrade to profilux plus 3ex? or i can just buy expansion active splitter?

I would like to say thank you first place if you would help me out with my confusion.

Best regards,
sandy

I think the board can handle those no problem.

I ended up getting two of the boards for (6) drivers, but I went with two boards because each board handles only two channels. I don't mean the only to be a bad thing, but since i'm planning on having three channels, the extra board was needed.

My DIY LED setup will have royal blue on one channel, then on the other board I'm going to hook up the cool white channel and high noon channel.

I was all out of L ports on mine as well, so I bought a PLM-4L at the same time as the boards which will give me an additional 4 L ports.

Be aware that you must not draw more the 10 milli amps (mA) from a 1-10v port I think one meanwell driver pulls 3mA but please check your own ratings.

but based on my driver which runs up to 185watts, do i need to purcahse the EVG-AP-2F HIC series? or a normal EVG-AP-2F will do okay?

thx
