So here is my slackers update:

So in the time that I have spent slacking on building my led setup... I've been using my old halide and t5 setup (1 reef optic 250w 14k Phoenix and 2 t5 24w ati blue plus). That was supposed to get me through till I finished my led set up, but instead I ended up upgrading my halide and t5.

My plan is to now have my leds supplement my halide and t5 setup. (Summertime is almost here).

Here are some pics of what's been done.

2 Hamilton cayman sun fixtures with 250hqi 14k Phoenix bulbs on luxcore 250-400w ballasts.

2 BRS dimmable 54w t5 retrofit using 3 ati blue plus and 1 actinic.

I'm hoping to incorporate the leds in this fixture.

My plan is to put four clusters of the leds around each halide fixture.

Each cluster will be cooled by an old panaflo aluminum fan.

yeah... I have accumulated too many corals that I'm afraid to just swap over to leds. I figured this way I can go with what I know then slowly acclimate them to leds.
