Been thinking of doing an android app which lets you view the stats of your aquarium arduino controller. Anyone tackled something like this before

Yup, i've managed to get one going to set the pwm output in increments of 10%, but i have yet to figure out how to take the serialprint info to display the values on the app. I use a bt module though and not the internet. The base for the sketch i've been using is the typhon sketch. Am also tryin to incorporate cloud cover.....but its a slow process since i'm programming and designing pcbs for other members.

Glad to hear it have you started on the 2 proto boards yet? I was thinking soldering all the other circuits was going to be hard but after I made my first board kit was easy I am using the same sketch as you

I can't decide on wether to do a pcb for all that or use proto boards

PCM should be PCB anyway are you hooking up temp probs and the auto feeder I have all most every thing done with it except temp probs have to work out how to connect them to the side of the case so I can unhook if needed I was thinking phone jack's and have a 3 way spliter plugged in the case I am thinking of just wiring them right to the arduino board

I was thinking wiring to the screw sheild throw the resistor in there and some kind of connectors at the case I had corrosion problems in the past withn phone jacks I am going to look for somthing els also my fans and lites will have a round connector that will carry power and pwm lines not sure wether to mount the ldd on the heatsink or in the case

The temp probs I have run in parasite mode I was just thinking I could use the
Little head phone jacks like the ones for iPods

parasite ? I am looking at the phono plugs now I seen one like that in another forum

Regular temp probs have 3 wires parasite mode only uses 2 wires with a resistor between hit and ground

Parasite mode takes more power and time though. That's why the 3-wire method is better for DS18B20s.

asid61 is right i looked in to it may as well use the three wire's did you have a reason for parasite mode reminds me of my relatives every time I see that word

Yup sorry it is 3 wires my bad I was thinking of try to use a common ground then using the other 2 wires on the phono plug it should work

Has anyone written a calibration sketch for the ITBD02-5.0 or can someone tell me how to calibrate it. I bought it for the Okeanos build but...... It is in like new shape

If not I have an ITDB02-5.0 I want to trade.

I want an ITDB02-3.2

I also need a couple LDD-H pcbs.

Receive my ldd's today. They're awesome.
