Update. Made some slight changes during WC tonight bringing the rock work down a bit after my emerald kept knocking it over. Needing some more coral soon I think.

Nice looking. I just started a second BC 8 build. I installed my Rapid LED 's in the hood and just got my In Tank media basket. I like visually the amount of sand you used. Do you know how many pounds you went with? I'm going to use your rock cleaning regimen for some Marco dry rock I have stored from the last year.

Thanks. I have some old sand but I might pick up a new 15-20 lbs bag of something a little bigger grained than what I have on hand.

Fts update for December. Doing water changes about every third weeks still no skimmer. I'm looking for a salt that is higher in ca2 and dkh because it's hard to manage consistency in such a small water volume. Any suggestions? Reef crystals maybe?

I hope so. I love the challenge of the smaller tank so that I can keep honed until time allows for larger.
