do anemones shrink at night?

hi, i got my first anemone. its a long tentacled and i think its finally settling down, and its eating. but i turned off the lights cause its night time and he tucked his tentacles in, he shrunk about 25-50% from normal size. Is something wrong or is it normal to shrink at night?

It is normal for them to shrink up at night some. As long as it's not completely deflated

That's right. All of the mags I have owned have shrunk to about half their daylight size at night. Shriveled or deflated is another thing altogether though.
