do i have enough light

I have a 30 gal long. with sps, T5 hood with 6 lamps


the 1st 2 that turn on Aquablue + and Actnic + for 1 hour
then the other 4 are

2 Ocean white 10,000k
and 2 Daylight 10,000K

for 8 hrs
and then the Aquablue + and Actnic + for 1 hour

I'm i doing this currectly ??/
need advise ..

WoW, I had 3x95w VHO's over my 30gL and sometimes thought that was too much! You've got PLENTY of light! You have a total of 234w of light right? that's 7.8w/g, and what I've read on the T5's, that should do you fine.

Are you kidding me? Im assuming you purchased the Tek lights.
They are going to be the best lights you can get that are user friendly, and comparable to MH.

How many inches is your light unit that you bought?
6 bulbs of T-5's with individual parabolic reflectors is going to be good for you in the long run. I will give you the choice to keep a diverse amount of things. I say that you made a good choice.

I have done my research on the net and forums and everybody seems satisfied by the tek hood compared to the high end light setups. Im purchasing mine soon.

I think your just trying to show off.

O BTW you might want to consider making sure the light fixture does not get too hot for your canopy you made. Thats the only thing that I can see to check into.

I didn't think i had the right setup ? lighting.
Oh i made holes on top of hood for air circualtion . i'm gonna install a fan too.

can i ask a newb question? how important is the sunrise/sunset time? my fixture has 1200K PC and 1400K then LEDs. theres only 1 switch for the PC's. theres a space though to add another switch
