Do I need a new tank?

Been in the hobby for the past 15 years or so. The tank in question (All-Glass 40g breeder) was purchased back in 2007 and has been filled with both salt and freshwater off and on for the last 10 years. Most recently it was used as a freshwater tank and sat dry for approximately 6 months before it was filled up last weekend.

From the information I've seen online, this is a common sight with the 40g breeders. I went to petco yesterday and the bubbling in the seams was showing on brand new tanks with a little pressure added to the glass.

Is this something I should be worried about? What is the average lifespan for a mass produced last tank like this?

The inner seal is cosmetic only. The part that actually holds the tank together (and keeps it from leaking) is the silicone that is between the individual panes. I wouldn't worry about it (too much). If there is any doubt, another can be had at Petco's almost continual 1$/g sale.

Me? I'd leak test it for a week or so and then use it.

You'll be amaze at how long silicon is good for. I have two 20g tank use for ttm maybe at least from 1990s and its been wet and dry over the years mainly dry.

Just went to petco and got a new tank to test them out. This one looks worse than mine!

So I guess this is normal??
