Do mags of this color truly exist or are these photos 'shopped'?

I don't remember exactly what lighting I was using in each photo. Generally speaking, blue or actinic lighting will make the color much darker. Kinda purplish looking. Daylight lighting, like typical room lighting, will make them appear more red. It all depends on the amount of red in the light source.

When do your mags close up and show their foot? Had mine for 6weeks now and it just spreads out showing the tentacles

Orion its def not photoshopped to my knowledge, he sent pics with some colors of mags and mertens i have never seen before.
