Do pods eat dying coral tissue

Came home to a mass of bugs on a coral. I pulled a sample and looked under a microscope. They are not nudis or flatworms. They have segmented bodies, gills, antena. It is just a 40x hobby scope so I can not take a picture. They are only on one piece. Any ideas?

If the coral is dead, you have your answer. It's hard to know for sure without IDing the bugs; they could be anything. If they are copepods there's nothing to worry about since they don't eat live tissue as far as I know. If they are a species of amphibods then they may eat live tissue.

Is was only a frag of a coral. I just cut it a few days ago. It is the only piece impacted. None of the 8 older fags I have or the parent colony in the attached display show any signs of any thing going on. My though is this piece did not do well and the pods were just cleaning up.
