They do prefer People Eaters, but PE's aren't protopalys. They are Zoanthus Gigantus.

I also have witnessed zoa munching amphipods in my tank. I've also just purchased a 6 line wrasse, but don't see how they can help since the amphipods come out at night and the wrasse goes to sleep around that time. I've fed more phyto & fish food & hope that keeps them off.

This is why we having reefing communities...now we know how important pod hunters are to the survival of zoa tanks! I've noticed most people have seen PE getting targeted? Is this a fair assesment or have others seen them attacking normal zoas or palys?
