do tank-bred GSM get gold stripe?

have a tank bred gsm, when will the gold bars come in? also, will the bars connect at the tail? mine is not connected at the moment. had him for over 2 months now. thanks

I believe my two juvenile GSM were tank-bred, and i can just BARELY see the yellow stripes forming. it is my understanding that as they grow the yellow comes in. On mine if they are under light that makes the white flourese a little you can see the yellow in the middle.

I don't think that the stripe will grow together if it is mis-barred, but i do not have any evidence one way or another.

ok, i can sort of see the yellow coming in as well, but its barely noticeable. i really love that gold stripe and hope it fills in all the way.
