DO you worry about your noms traveling.

Just out of curiosity, and because we all know that anemones can and do move around at will. Assuming it isn't next to a powerhead, do you guys worry about where they go?

I know they can sting other corals and can get stung by some as well, but I'm just curious if you rearrange your tank every time they decide to go for a stroll or do you just chalk it up to nature and let nature take its course?

When they like their situation, they don't move much.

That being said , my powerheads are neatly tucked away in either pvc pipes , clay pots , or between rocks.
It's annoying when you want to clean powerheads when their jammed between rockwork, but it's a precautionary deed that seems worth it to me; for the sake of the nem , all the other inhabitants, my conscience and my wallet...

You just need to know your anemone species and provide what they need. I have a lot of anemones in my tank and don't have them move much.

My giganteas don't really move at all. Same goes for my crispa. And not all of them are that happy were they are.

In my experience giganteas are in general not moving around a lot if you give them the right substrate to place their foot on.

Crispas are a bit more tricky to place. They look for the right hole to put their foot in and are also much more picky about the flow.

Most of the BTAs I had were moving around a lot and ultimately ended up in a flow pump. At this point I just avoid them.

The only one that moved around some was my Condy. I had a clay Tiki head so I put that near the rock it was on hoping it would move to that and get off the rock with corals.

It worked! Not only is it his home but my Fairy Wrasse also shares it with the Condy when the Condy isn't retracted all the way in. It's been using it now for 6 months and seems happy where it is.

Yes - My GBT pretty much stays in the same general area but he wanders around his rock every once in a while like he is looking for something. In general, though he stays put.
