Does anybody know what these are?

Thats not the greatest news due to that they are not alone in the tank. The eggs also explain why the dont hesitate to attack my hand when i clean the tank.

Bingo -- a small but healthy nest; you can clearly see their eyes so they will be hatching in maybe 2-3 days.

You might want to kalk those hydroids on the rock after the nest hatches. With heavy duty gloves if need be. :D

Mama will be working harder that she has been now. She's well fed and healthy or she wouldn't be laying eggs, but she's going to need more food now to stay healthy.

Just curiuos on how difficult and time consuming breeding is. How much research did you do before attemping to raise them?

Clowns are not too bad if you are doing a single batch, but you have to spend some time with them and all their food cultures twice a day, every day at the same time of the day. Miss once, and you have dead fish.

I suggest "Clownfishes" by Joyce Wikerson or Frank Hoff's clownfish rearing book.

They will probably give you plenty of practice if you want to try and raise the babies. They will usually spawn again about 3-7 days after the eggs hatch. As long as you don't disturb their environment too much, they may continue laying eggs every 10-14 days for years.

that's a pretty cool pix as you can see all their tiny heads and eyes...very cool, good luck -- and just in time for father's day too!

Thanks I will definitly look into the suggested reading. Luckily I just happen to have a spare 10 gal. tank around when I am ready to give it a shot.
