I've got it and love it. Alot of people don't share the same view or success but it works great for me. I posted a thread about how I got mine to work with out the dredded micro-bubbles. I'll post it back here when I find it. PM me if you need any help.

I have no trouble with micro bubbles because it has its own chamber in my 20L.

However; I've never been able to get it working well. Either it just fills up the collection cup with water or nothing gets into the cup.

Also, alot of people (myself included) had problems with the elbows being cracked. They were supposed to have been replaced but never were.

Right now I am not running a skimmer but will eventually have to put a working one on so please post if you find an answer.

OK well i think I am going to order it....they are on sale at nano tuners I think for like $27??? and im ordering a Viper anyways, soooo I think I will give it a shot and keep you all updated on how that works out for me. . . anyone else that has one w/ tips for me. . . would be much appreciated...thanks!

If you are taking the top off why not get a hang on skimmer they would work better than the fission.

There are lots of skimmers from $50 to $100 that will do better. I have a fission I got for $25 and put it in my 46gal bowfront to see how good it is. I would save and get something better. I think you would be happier with something else.

I don't really worry about the cost, but those hang on back ones, arent they usually kinda big? Are they noisy? My tank is like RIGHT next to where I sleep so I don't want anything obnoxious... lol

I have a CSS 65 on the back of my 10 gal and it is SILENT. Barely a whisper and it is right next to by bed. Check out my gallery, there are pics of it in there, I have seen it online for about 90.00 Remember, the bigger and better of a skimmer you have, the more diverse and quantity livestock you can keep. I have heard from numerous people that the Fission is a POS. Of course, so is a Prizm and Seaclone IMO

I bought a nano skimmer and it is worthless. The price is too good to be true. I positioned it in several ways and it never collected scum. It just filled the collection chamber with water.

i ended up throwing the fission skimmer away. i had the same problem with the cup filling up with water every few minutes. i put a remora on the back of my 24 gallon nano and things are wonderful. took the top off and put a new k-vipor mh 150 lamp on. everything in the tank is happy.

Yeah, that fission skimmer is worthless. Never worked and it didn't fit together properly (had to create a fix for it).

Do not buy it!

My $.02.

Well, I dont know if it is just luck or what but I have a fission on my 7 mini bow and it actualy works better than i expected. It dosnt get the thick black stuff like some of my bigger ones, but it does pull out some pretty dark yellow liquid. And I dont really have to worry about micro bubbles because its in my 5 gal refugium.

Why not just build your own counter current skimmer. I built one for my 10 gallon and it does an awesom job. Lots of dark green scum. I used 2" pvc for the main reaction chamber and made it about 20" tall. I diden't take any pics of it before I put it under the tank in my sump. I will try to take some pics of it tomorrow and post them tomorrow night. My nano is at work

Thanks, but my CSS 65 came in the mail today...and im having trouble setting THAT up..just kidding....ill figure out the directions manana....ill post back if/once its up and report back with my OWN opinions, thanks for all the input guys!!!!!
