Totally agree. I have a six bulb TEK with ATI bulbs over my trigger and angel tank. I just don't run them on the same schedule that I do on my reef.

well another thing i have heard of people doing when they have FO systems is run the salinity low. like 1.019 or some thing like that.

thet have the same affects on the tank but the salinity version does not harm the fish and the copper over time will

You still grow algae at low salinity, you just dont grow the macro algaes as much. Your rock will still get covered in algae, I've gone down to hypo (1.009) a few times and spent months there and inevitably end up with brown/green growth all over my rocks.

not i...but i have used it with great success in qt...along with hypo-salinity but not at the same time.
