Does anyone see a problem w/this fish combo?

Korrine

You could get a ticket!!
75g w/a sump and fuge. 80 lbs LR give or take a few pounds. 2 250w metal halides.

Scribbled Angel
Potter's wrasse
trio of a type of flame wrasses
pair of fire fish
possibly a jaw fish.

I know of the specific care of the wrasse and will wait quite awhile to add it. Probably will add the fire fish or flame wrasses after a month or two of set up for movement and let the tank mature more before anything else goes in. I'm also willing to buy pods to boost my fuge and DT if necessary.

Anyone see a problem w/the combo? Not sure if the flame wrasses will hunt the pods or maybe the fire fish. Still have some reading to do, but thought I'd throw this out there to get feedback :)

Thanks all :)

The angel get's 10", I definitely wouldn't put it in a 75g. I'm not to sure about 4 wrasses in a 75, but probably doable, but I wouldn't put a FLAME wrasse in so soon, could end up being an expensive mistake. How about a midas blenny?

a midas blenny could be doable. Want catchy attractive fish. This will be the main tank and in the living room of our new house.

My skimmer is a Reef Octopus dnw 200, if that makes a difference :) Will really help keep water quality up.

If you get a pair of firefish, make sure to find a mated pair.

The best bet is finding them in a LFS tank with no other firefish.

Was thinking I'd wait for a DD pair. My hubby really liked the fire fish we had before so this is for him. A must have, I guess.

The scribble will get big and can be quite aggressive. I would stick with a few pygmy angels in stead of a large angel. You could put a pair of pygmys that are very cool to watch, especially if they start spawning at night!

Thanks for the tips on the angel and everything. I have to FIX something. Didn't mean flame wrasse in my original post. MEANT FLASHER WRASSE TRIO. Sorry.

DD has 4 different male flasher wrasses for sale tonight. That's nuts!!! Usually don't have so many.

Anyone that has mixed the potter's a trio of flashers together? or something similar?

Always add an angel last because they will dominate the tank.

Midas blennies may be a boring color, but they have a ton of energy.

Personally I would scrap the jawfish, I think a deep sand bed would look ugly in a living room environment. Also, you need to make sure your rocks were put in before the sand and the sand is a mixture of sizes so it can form tunnels that won't collapse.

What about a swales basslet or royal gramma?

Well I just read that flasher's eat planktonic critters too...maybe 4 little critter eaters in a 75 wouldn't work...poo. Always something that won't work somewhere!

I just know they eat them and don't want it to starve. Know the key for the potter's wrasse is to get it eating prepared food. Maybe I'll try it then :)

I think I'm narrowing down my fish combinations. Will be a passive reef so I can have my BRAINS!!!! lrc members will know what I mean...lol

Must have's:
Potter's Wrasse Macropharyngodon Geoffroyi===may try for a pair
Trio of McCosker's flasher wrasses
Pair of red fire fish

Contemplating:
Jawfish: BSJ or Ospistognathus sp (Goldspecs jawfish), or yellow head
Shrimp n goby combo. May scrap the jawfish idea and go with two sets of fish n shrimps. I feel my footprint should be big enough to try for two sets.
Yellow assessor's

looking into
Chaetodon Kleinii and C. miliaris *said in Scott Micheal's 500+ species book that they are most reef safe butterflys. That's all the farther I've gotten on them. Will read some more.
Hubby really like Goodwin's Radiant Wrasse in his tank :)

Sounds like a nice combination to me,
I have a potters, along with 3 Mckoskers also. Although my tank is larger, I have quite a few more fish. As long as your tank is well established with pods, you shouldn't have a problem there.
I would be hesitant with the Kleini though. I've tried them twice, hoping they would help control aptasia/manjanos and they ate everything but. They are VERY hard to get out of your tank also.

love love love your photos!!! Very beautiful fish! I think I might just skip the butterfly then. Don't want to have to chase anything later.

I plan adding a few hardy fish first like the firefish. Then waiting until the following spring (year) to add the other's. Need to sit down and map out the fish addition order. Haven't done that yet.
