Does it matter if the wavebox gets submerged on the return wave?

Just set it up. This thing is making 1.5" waves right out of the box. WOW!

However, the box gets submerged a little on the return wave. Does this even matter. I know the directions say max water height should be around an inch below the top of the box.

Any problems with this? Will it hurt anything or just suffer performance. Cause I'm okay with the performance right now :eek1:

Yeah, it groans a little :)

I broke out dremel and knocked out almost all the remaining teeth on my overflow box. Dropped the water level around a half inch.

I know have it where the it just touches the top of the box without going over it.

This is truly an amazing product. Very very impressed so far.

Of course I had to give up my magnets from the streams to make this work so now I'm relegated to those horrible looking brackets.

Send out some more damn magnets already!!! :)

What is the best way to tune this thing? The directions are kind of vague. Do you just keep turning it till you get the biggest wave you can get?

Generally when you hit the right frequency you get a wave that crests at one end with the trough on the other. Beyond or before that setting you get nothing or just some splashing, you have to hit the exact resonance frequency of the aquarium, my guess is if you have a 1.5" wave you have got it.

This thing is just too cool. I love it.

What are your feelings on using it linked to the 7095? There are instructions on how to do it in the wavebox manual?

Also, is it really necessary to shut the wavebox down at night. I do a lot of diving and the current keeps going all night long :) Is it bad to just leave it running all the time.

You can run it at night. I just started working on a new reef tank and I plan to hook my wavebox to the 7095 as soon as I get one. Mainly so I can use Interval II for the Stream 6000 and have a moonlight. I am building my own 6 lamp T-5 hood from sunlight supply retros and should have that done tomorrow.

It will stay on unless you use night mode, only your Streams will be affected, I just want to plug the cord in somewhere for fun and because it is their :D
