Hi guys,

Looking for some quick help!

Tonight while doing my water change and re arranging, I saw a little shrimp/lobster thing walking around in the front of my aquapod.

Its about half an inch, whiteish clear and looks like a tiny lobster.

Is this a young mantis shrimp? I havent had unknown deaths in the tank and it would have had to been there for months.

Im trying to get a picture right now, but everything comes out blurry.

I'll post it if i can get a decent shot.

anyway,
From looking online it looks like a mantis but isnt colorful....

I dont know what to do with it....

Have you seen any piles of Hermit or snails shells anywhere? Empty ones of course. That would be a sign of a Mantis. IMO, It does not look like a Mantis. Looks like a Pistol shrimp but from that pic, Hard to be sure. Is one claw much larger than the other?

No, no deaths. Im pretty sure its a pistol shrimp, he went back into the tank to do his thing. LOL.

Guess I should get him a goby?

If it is indeed a Pistol Shrimp a Yellow Watchman Goby would look great in your beautiful tank Lynn. :)
